Secara dasar MBMMBI adalah seperti berikut
Memartabatkan bahasa Malaysia melalui :
- Pendekatan Pengajaran & Pembelajaran
- Guru bahasa Malaysia berkualiti
- Perluasan ICT dalam Pengajaran & Pembelajaran
- Melaksanakan Pengajaran & Pembelajaran Sains dan Matematik dalam bahasa Malaysia di SK dan bahasa ibunda di SJKT dan SJKC.
Memperkukuhkan bahasa Inggeris melalui :
- Penambahan waktu Pengajaran & Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggeris di SK, SM, SJKT dan SJKC
- Guru bahasa Inggeris yang berkualiti
- Pendekatan Pengajaran & Pembelajaran Dalam Bahasa Inggeris
- Menambah fungsi makmal komputer kepada makmal bahasa.

Im afraid that this decision will cost the nation a brighter future. Simply learning English where the environment is Malay or mother tongue-centric will be less helping to learn Math and Science. To be frank and honest, this decision is less far reaching in creating a scientific society, as stated in Vision 2020 because almost everything is in English out there. Even though I don't learn anything scientific right now in higher education, but if i were those people who learn science and maths, I would definitely say those 5 years of PPSMI in Secondary school have been very helpful.
But of course, there are a lot of pros and cons when we change either BM or BI.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how much would that be helping your study. Thats all it.
